It all started a year ago, with Partyarc. I had my bachelor's party last year. With friends we went down to Siófok (where else?!) the budget version of Ibiza in Central-Eastern-Europe. It was raining so the plan to lay on the beach in the afternoon was cancelled. Instead we were drinking a lot back in the apartment we rented and MTV Hungary was on. In every 10 minutes the song Partyarc was played. And you have to admit it's kinda catchy. It makes its way in your ears, and will never come out... (See all referenced videos below)
Then recently Mizu? came out ant took over the Hungarian music scene in a minute with a blast. Everyone remixed it, and even admitted or not they were listening to it (maybe even secretly). And today Halenda, which is again a mock of music and lyrics and still you can't get it out of your head... And that was the last drop for me, too.
Tomi is really a dividing person. You love him or hate him, but I think we all have to admit that he's a genius and he's a talented musician, producer and salesman. I bet he had lived here in the US he'd be an international superstar by now. His music gets in your head and you can never get it out... Everyone speaks about him, and he thrives and grows... I cannot really name any other Hungarian musician who could produce three songs in one year and all of them were a blast!
And I damn sure he's laughing at us all, like an evil genius who managed to take over the world. So give in and join me in enjoying his art, while you can!
